Yoko Saito pouch finished!

Remember my last pouch project? I finally finished it last weekend. The pattern called for a zipper, but it was a pain to work with a zipper with such a small pouch + the techniques showed in the book required zipper tools, which I don’t have. So I improvised by making a button pouch instead. This was going to be the house for my laptop mouse so having a button closure would not be a major problem.

Yoko Saito’s pouch

Hi everyone! So I take a break from sewing clothes to making a patchwork quilted pouch for no reason. Well, maybe there’s one reason: I just realised how many sakizome (yarn-dyed) fabrics I have kept for years… I bought them back in the UK when I was studying there for my degree. Since I bought them for Yoko Saito projects, I felt that now was a good time to revisit these projects and get done with at least one of them.
