Remember my last pouch project? I finally finished it last weekend. The pattern called for a zipper, but it was a pain to work with a zipper with such a small pouch + the techniques showed in the book required zipper tools, which I don’t have. So I improvised by making a button pouch instead. This was going to be the house for my laptop mouse so having a button closure would not be a major problem.

I make my own songket wedding kebaya
This is a throwback to the gorgeous wedding kebaya I made for my wedding back in August 2019. I posted more photos on the making of this kebaya on my IG, so check out @needle_of_supai if you want to see more progress photos.
Before our wedding, Siddiq (now my husband) and I decided that for my side’s wedding* we were going for light gold attire. We listed down so many possible combinations: a dress for me and a suit for him, a kebaya for me and a suit for him, a dress for me and traditional baju Melayu for him, a kebaya for me and a traditional baju Melayu for him, and so on. Finally we agreed on one thing: we are going traditional with a kebaya and baju Melayu.
